Belly art for mums-to-be???

i was reading "my paper" (a free singapore newspaper), and came across this picture:

according to the newspaper, "Pregnant women parade with their bellies painted as part of an event marking Healthy Maternity Week in Lima, Peru."

i really wonder how "healthy" it is to paint your belly, considering paint is applied over your pores, with your baby inside...
