Disney Princesses, Star Wars Robot, Lego Star Wars and Ninjago

I watched The Last Jedi a second time today with my family.  While waiting for the movie to start, we walked around the area and saw many interesting toys, like this display of Chibi Disney Princesses:

and this Stormtrooper robot:

There were even huge Lego Star Wars display, like the dynamic pair of C3-PO and R2-D2:

With new Lego Ninjago toys for the kids:

Google Chromecast

After much consideration, I finally bought the Google Chromecast for S$50.00:

Now I can "cast" whatever from my PC onto my TV, and certain apps from my tablet and phone onto my TV.

XiaoMi Powerbank

I don't normally buy overpriced IT gadgets, but for this china-made power bank, it was an exception, because of its affordable pricing and it really did serve the purpose of charging reliably on all my Android portable devices, unlike those cheapo brands I bought previously.

Of course, this china-made power bank were also pirated! Here's the link which shows the difference between a real one and a fake one:
http://www.spemall.com/forum/topic/1109-how-to-tell-xiaomi-power-bank-real-and-fake/

From the link, I can comfortably say mine is a real one!  Check out the images below:

Who knows? My next mobile phone could very well be the XiaoMi Mi3!

Hitler's Reaction to the release of Ultima Forever #Ultima

I recently downloaded an app on my Google Nexus 7 where I can edit the subtitles to a famous clip from the movie "Downfall". After an hour of coming up with dialogue for this scene, I present to you, Hitler's reaction to the recent iTunes release of Ultima Forever:

PLAYMOBIL Apple Store Playset

No, it is not Playmobil Playset selling apples. It is a Playmobil Playset selling Apple products!

Click on the picture above if you are interested to buy this @ ThinkGeek.com

I really hope Playmobil will do an Android or Google theme, but I guess the Apple store will have to do for now...

Oh, and do check out my new web domain name for Old Fart Gamers here!

Samsung Maptor GPS

Not too sure if this gadget is now defunct or it is still a concept or it is powered by Android. But it sure is cool having not to rely every god-damn-thing on your mobile phone! Presenting, the Maptor, using Google Maps I think!

Kickstarter - MiiPC

So far, I have pledged for a total of 22 projects from Nov 2012 to Mar 2013, including this 22nd one (21st on Kickstarter), which is hopefully the last one for a long time to come, MiiPC:

This is basically an Android-run PC! It will not replace my PC and laptop but it is a great entry-level PC for the children, that is, if my wife allows it!

Angry Birds Space Invasion!

My family and I went to Singapore's Changi Airport Terminal 3 with my friend and his family, just so that the kids can enjoy an Angry Birds Space event there:

And we even got to go on a "tour" inside the Angry Birds Spaceship!

Anything for the kids, even though the whole event was a cheap rip-off! I think Angry Birds should just stay in my Android devices...

Google Nexus 7

I bought the Google Nexus 7 on impulse today, while I still had my ASUS Transformer TF101.  I had to admit that there weren't many customised apps and functions on the Nexus 7 as compared to the Transformer.  Also, I could not restore my Angry Birds backups because the Nexus 7 was running Android 4.1, which was not supported by those Angry Birds backup apps.

Nevertheless, the tablet itself looked cool, and it worked fast enough.  Here's my unpacking of the Nexus 7:

Sweeeeet!

Android thumbdrive

Feeling like wasting money, I bought this on ebay:

It is an Android 4GB thumbdrive and it costs US$7.00! Cheaper than those retail shops in Singapore selling this for $20+!

Google Plus

I have joined Google Plus today, using my google account, and also install the Google Plus Android App on both my tablet and phone. This should give Facebook some fierce competition:

If not, it will just be another social network website then... Interface looks better than the new Facebook though...
